INSPIRATION (Instructional Practices in Language Education) is a peer-reviewed international journal published bianually by Magister Tadris Bahasa Inggris, Fakultas Ilmu Tarbiyah dan keguruan, UIN Sumatera Utara Medan, Indonesia. INSPIRATION is dedicated to serve as a forum for academicians and researchers who are interested in the discussion of current and future issues on second and foreign language education. Although articles are written in English, the journal welcomes studies dealing with education of languages other than English as well.
Contributions are welcome in any suitable form, including conceptual paradigms, theoretical and qualitative or quantitative empirical articles, and review articles with clear pedagogical implications. INSPIRATION reviews only original manuscripts and does not review articles that have been published or are under consideration elsewhere.

International Conference of Da'wah and Religious Moderation
1st INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF DA'WAH AND RELIGIOUS MODERATION FAKULTAS DAKWAH DAN KOMUNIKASI UNIVERSITAS ISLAM NEGERI SUMATERA UTARA MEDAN
Background
The Faculty of Da’wah and Communication (FDC) is the one of faculty in the State Islamic University of North Sumatera. The faculty is a home to four programs, including Islamic Guidance and Counseling, Islamic Communication and Broadcasting, Islamic Community Development, and Da’wah Management. With different study fields, FDC has become a safe place for the investigation and development of a wide range of knowledge. All of the topics under discussion are important for the development of Islam in Indonesia. Thus, it is necessary for the faculty to build more connections to the world in relation to knowledge by holding an international conference as the place to discuss and expand the already established scientific fields.
This conference will discuss issues in under da’wah and communication with the theme of Religious Moderation: Tolerance and Harmony in Disruption Era explored from various perspectives and approaches: technology, economy, politics, law, social, and culture, from both social and natural science. This conference invites presenters and speakers from various knowledge background to gain novel model and ideas of moderate islam that is sustainable and confirming to the current world.
It is now necessary to create a place for experts and researchers to discuss the topic of Religious Moderation in order to solve related problems. The Faculty of Da’wah and Communication of UIN Sumatera Utara aims to become a wahdatul-‘ulum campus. In order to achieve this goal, FDC has developed a number of strategies that would be implemented in various events that support the development of a wahdatul-‘ulum culture. The International Conference, which is annually scheduled, is one of the main events in the FDC.
Objectives
There are three main objectives of the conference:
- Exploring and discussing the concept of religious moderation with the goal of promoting tolerance and harmony in disruption era.
- Finding strategic steps to promote tolerance and harmony by using the concept of disruption.

2. The candidate shall fill in his or her data and submit the papers (abstract and full article) with the following format:
- The article should be based on a field or conceptual study that has not been previously published.
- The abstract should be written in 300-500 words explaining the backgrounds, objectives, methods, results, and discussion of the study (Times New Roman 12; 1.5 spacing).
- The full article should be in 6000-8000 words in IMRAD format (Introduction, Method, Result and Discussion) (Times New Roman 12; 1.5 spacing).

4. The candidate will be informed of the article submission via email prior to the day of conference.
5. The candidate who passes will pay the fee and send a single slide PowerPoint used for the presentation before they have access to the conference.

The subject covers textual and fieldwork studies with various perspectives of Language, research of History, Society, Humanity, and also various perspectives in Education interest. The journal serves for scholars, Researchers, lecturers, also professors from various institution and affiliations in the world.
IJLRES, published three times a year, on April, August, and December. Always places Language, Linguistics, all research and also Education side. Istishlah sempat vakum hingga tidak ada terbitan hingga tahun 2021, dan sejak tahun 2022 kami berusaha untuk mengaktifkan kembali penerbitan jurnalnya bersamaan dengan memohon untuk penerbitan ISSN-Online (E-ISSN). Penerbitan lanjutan yang dilakukan, tetap menggunakan nama yang sama dari awal mulai terbitnya di tahun 2007 dengan tidak mengubahnya sama sekali.
