About the Journal

Al-Mujtama': Journal of Social Sciences is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal published by the Faculty of Social Sciences, Sumatera Utara State Islamic University, Medan, Indonesia. This journal article is published twice a year; January and July. Al-Mujtama': Journal of Social Sciences focuses on social studies developing in society. The scope of the study includes: social studies, anthropology, international relations, political studies, cultural studies, gender studies, sociology, philanthropy, Islam and muslim societies, local history and heritage, phenomenology, conflict resolution, and other related fields.

Al-Mujtama': Journal of Social Sciences aims to build a comprehensive understanding of social norms in social life. If the author is from Indonesia, please submit the article in Indonesian. After the article is accepted for publication, the article author must be willing to follow the rules for translating the article into English. This journal, which functions to discuss contemporary topics and some research results and other scientific works as well as a forum for social science studies in challenging local and global contexts, supports focused studies on certain themes and interdisciplinary studies.
