JISTech (Journal of Islamic Science and Technology)

JISTech (Journal of Islamic Science and Technology) is an open-access academic journal established in 2016 under the Faculty of Science and Technology, State Islamic University of North Sumatra, Medan, Indonesia. The journal is committed to publishing high-quality scholarly articles across various branches of Islamic science and technology. JISTech serves as a platform for exchanging ideas, research findings, and discussions on contemporary issues within these fields.

The scope of JISTech includes Mathematics, Physics, Biology, and Informatics, aiming to enrich scientific knowledge through an integrative perspective that bridges modern science and Islamic values. Articles can be submitted in either Indonesian or English, encouraging contributions from both national and international authors.

JISTech is published biannually, in June and December. Through its consistent publication schedule, the journal seeks to contribute to the advancement of science, particularly in the context of Islamic science and technology.

JISTech is accredited by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) of the Republic of Indonesia with a SINTA 5 rating, applicable from Volume 6, Issue 1 (2021) to Volume 10, Issue 2 (2025). This accreditation reflects JISTech’s commitment to maintaining the quality of its scholarly publications.
