Journal of Management and Business Innovations takes allegations of research and publication misconduct seriously, whether concerns arise before or after publication. Allegations may include plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, image manipulation, authorship misconduct, citation manipulation, peer-review manipulation, duplicate publication, or other practices that undermine the integrity of scholarly research.
Reports of suspected misconduct are handled through the following procedure:
- Submission of Allegation: Concerns may be submitted to the editorial office through the journal's official contact channel. Reports should identify the manuscript or article and provide relevant supporting information.
- Initial Assessment: The Editor-in-Chief or an editor without a relevant conflict of interest evaluates whether the allegation is sufficiently specific and supported to warrant further examination.
- Investigation and Clarification: The editorial team may request explanations, original data, documentation, or other evidence from the authors or relevant parties.
- Independent Consultation: When necessary, the journal may seek assistance from independent experts, the publisher, or the authors' affiliated institutions.
- Editorial Action: Depending on the findings and the stage of publication, appropriate action may include requesting clarification or revision, rejecting a manuscript, issuing a correction or expression of concern, or retracting a published article.
Individuals involved in an allegation must be given a reasonable opportunity to respond before conclusions are reached. Allegations will be assessed fairly, confidentially where practicable, and without presuming misconduct before the available evidence has been evaluated.
Reports submitted anonymously may also be considered when they contain specific and verifiable evidence. The journal may refer matters requiring formal institutional investigation to the appropriate research institution.
