Author Guidelines
Editors invite researchers, practitioners, and students to write scientific developments in fields related to management and business innovations. This advice is for authors intending to submit a manuscript to JOMBI. Before submitting an article to JOMBI, please ensure you have read and understood the Focus & Scope of the journal and that you have attended to the formatting of your manuscript as detailed below. Submissions that do not comply will not be considered.
Please note that this journal only publishes manuscripts in English. While we prefer the use of U.S. spelling, we also accept other versions of English as long as they are used consistently throughout the paper. If you have questions on English grammar or punctuation, search the web for guidance. You can find excellent guides at http://www.grammarbook.com
Authors are responsible for the language quality in their article, and is strongly recommended to have your manuscript checked by a native speaker or an English language specialist before submission, in order to ensure that the language is acceptable. The submitted manuscript in this journal is screened for plagiarism. All paper should be prepared according to the following author guidelines in the article template. The length of submitted paper is at least 5 pages and no more than 15 pages.
When the Editorial Board decides that the paper meets those standards, the paper will be assigned to referees and the author will be notified that the paper has entered the review process.
Guideline for Online Submission
Author should first register as Author through the following address: http://jurnal.uinsu.ac.id/index.php/jombi/user/register
Author should fulfil the form as detail as possible where the star marked form must be entered. After all form textbox was filled, Author clicks on “Register” button to proceed the registration. Therefore, Author is brought to online author submission interface where Author should click on “New Submission”. In the Start a New Submission section, click on “’Click Here’: to go to step one of the five-step submission process”. The following are five steps in online submission process:
- Step 1 - Starting the Submission: Select the appropriate section of journal, i.e. Original Research Articles, Review Article, or Short Communication. Thus, author must check-mark on the submission checklists.
- Step 2 – Uploading the Submission: To upload a manuscript to this journal, click Browse on the Upload submission file item and choose the manuscript document file to be submitted, then click Upload button.
- Step 3 – Entering Submission’s Metadata: In this step, detail authors metadata should be entered including marked corresponding author. After that, manuscript title and abstract must be uploaded by copying the text and paste in the textbox including keywords.
- Step 4 – Uploading Supplementary Files: Supplementary file should be uploaded including Covering/Submission Letter, and Signed Copyright Transfer Agreement Form. Therefore, click on Browse button, choose the files, and then click on Upload button.
- Step 5 – Confirming the Submission: Author should final check the uploaded manuscript documents in this step. To submit the manuscript to Jombi, click Finish Submission button after the documents is true. The corresponding author or the principal contact will receive an acknowledgement by email and will be able to view the submission’s progress through the editorial process by logging in to the journal web address site.
After this submission, Authors who submit the manuscript will get a confirmation email about the submission. Therefore, Authors are able to track their submission status at anytime by logging in to the online submission interface. The submission tracking includes status of manuscript review and editorial process.
This journal uses Open Journal Systems, which is open source journal management and publishing software developed, supported, and freely distributed by the Public Knowledge Project.
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
- If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
Copyright Notice
Authors who submit papers to Journal of Management and Business Innovations (JOMBI) under a CC-BY license do so under the Open Access facility and pay to have their paper freely available online. Authors will be asked to sign an Open Access license agreement prior to publication.
Articles published under this arrangement are made freely available online upon publication without subscription barriers to access. Users of such published articles are entitled to use, reproduce, disseminate, or display these articles provided that:
The original authorship is properly and fully attributed;
The journal and publisher are attributed as the original place of publication with correct citation details given;
If an original work is subsequently reproduced or disseminated not in its entirety but only in part or as a derivative work this is clearly indicated.
Authors are also entitled to deposit the final electronic version of the article into an institutional or centrally organized subject repository upon publication. This is provided that they include a link to the published version of the article on the journal's web site, and that the journal and JOMBI are attributed as the original place of publication, with correct citations given.
This broad license has been developed to facilitate open access to, and free use of, original works of all types for personal, research and educational use.
In the future JOMBI may choose to produce printed copies of articles in bound form. This means that articles will reach a wider audience than users of the web-based journals we produce, and that articles will be available in durable form. Without prejudice to the terms of the license (see Author Information section of this website) we reserve the right to reproduce author's articles in this way.
Copyright and License
The Journal of Management and Business Innovations (JOMBI) respects the intellectual property rights of authors while promoting open access, scholarly communication, and the responsible dissemination of research. JOMBI provides free online access to its published articles under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), subject to the applicable license terms and conditions.
Authors are required to complete the applicable open-access license agreement before publication. Copyright and licensing arrangements must comply with the journal's official policies and the agreement executed by the authors.
1. Copyright Ownership
Authors retain copyright in their original scholarly works, subject to the terms of the applicable publication agreement. By submitting and agreeing to publish their manuscripts in JOMBI, authors authorize the journal to publish, reproduce, distribute, and make their articles publicly available under the applicable open-access licensing arrangement.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original, that all co-authors have approved the submission, and that any third-party materials included in their work are used with appropriate attribution and permission where required. The publication agreement governs the respective rights and obligations of the authors and the journal. Authors should review the agreement carefully before signing.
2. Copyright and Publication Statement
Published articles identify the copyright holder and provide the applicable licensing information. The copyright notice must be consistent with the publication agreement and the license displayed on the individual article.
The following format may be used when it accurately reflects the applicable copyright arrangement:

Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License
The copyright year corresponds to the year in which the article is published. For example, an article published in 2026 may display “© 2026 The Author(s)” where the authors are the designated copyright holders.
The copyright statement and license information should be displayed consistently in the published PDF, article landing page, and relevant journal metadata. Where an individual article is subject to a different arrangement, the specific notice and publication agreement applicable to that article shall prevail.
3. Authors' Rights
Subject to the applicable publication agreement and license terms, authors may:
- Retain copyright ownership where provided for under the applicable agreement.
- Share and distribute their published articles for non-commercial research, educational, and scholarly purposes.
- Deposit the final published version of their articles in institutional or subject-based repositories upon publication.
- Make their published research available through personal websites, academic profiles, and scholarly platforms.
- Reuse their research in subsequent scholarly publications, books, teaching materials, and academic activities, subject to applicable copyright and licensing requirements.
- Enter into additional non-exclusive distribution arrangements, provided that these arrangements do not conflict with the rights already granted to the journal or the permissions available under the applicable Creative Commons license.
When sharing or redistributing published articles, authors should acknowledge JOMBI as the original place of publication and provide the complete bibliographic citation, including the Digital Object Identifier (DOI), where available. Authors should also include a link to the published version of record and the applicable license.
4. Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License
JOMBI identifies its open-access licensing arrangement as the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license allows users to share and adapt licensed material for non-commercial purposes, provided that the applicable license conditions are satisfied.
Under CC BY 4.0, users are permitted to:
- Share: Copy and redistribute the licensed material in any medium or format for non-commercial purposes.
- Adapt: Remix, transform, translate, and build upon the licensed material for non-commercial purposes.
The license does not grant unrestricted permission for commercial use. Uses primarily intended for or directed toward commercial advantage or monetary compensation may require separate authorization from the relevant rights holder.

5. License Terms and Conditions
Users who share, reproduce, or adapt material published under CC BY 4.0 must comply with the applicable license conditions.
- Attribution: Users must provide appropriate credit to the original author or authors, identify the source of publication, include a link to the applicable Creative Commons license, and indicate whether modifications have been made.
- Use: Users may not use the licensed material for commercial purposes under this license without obtaining separate permission from the relevant rights holder.
- Indication of Changes: Users must clearly indicate whether the material has been modified, adapted, translated, or otherwise altered.
- No Additional Restrictions: Users must not apply legal terms or technological measures that prevent others from exercising the permissions granted by the license.
- No Implied Endorsement: Attribution must not imply that the original authors, JOMBI, or its publisher endorse the user or the user's use of the material.
The license does not eliminate applicable moral rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, or other legal obligations that may affect the use of particular materials. Users are encouraged to consult the official license text to determine the scope of permissions applicable to their intended use.
6. Self-Archiving and Repository Policy
JOMBI permits authors to deposit the final electronic version of their published articles in institutional or centrally organized subject-based repositories upon publication, in accordance with the journal's stated copyright and open-access policy.
Authors who deposit their published articles should:
- Include a complete bibliographic citation.
- Identify JOMBI as the original place of publication.
- Provide a link to the published version of the article on the journal's official website.
- Include the DOI, where available.
- Retain the applicable copyright and Creative Commons license information.
Authors must ensure that repository deposits comply with the publication agreement and do not misrepresent the version or licensing status of the article. Any additional arrangements concerning preprints, accepted manuscripts, or other article versions should be confirmed with the journal before distribution.
7. Third-Party Copyright and Permissions
Authors are responsible for ensuring that third-party materials included in their manuscripts are used lawfully and appropriately acknowledged.
Third-party materials may include:
- Previously published figures, tables, and illustrations.
- Photographs, images, graphics, and multimedia content.
- Datasets and research materials owned or controlled by other parties.
- Substantial extracts from copyrighted publications.
- Software, source code, and other protected intellectual property.
Where permission is required, authors must obtain authorization from the relevant rights holder before publication and provide appropriate acknowledgments or copyright notices. Materials that are not covered by the article's Creative Commons license must be clearly identified. The license applied to the article does not automatically extend to third-party materials included within it. Readers intending to reuse such materials must comply with the applicable rights and restrictions and obtain additional permission where necessary.
8. Copyright and AI-Assisted Content
Authors remain responsible for ensuring that manuscripts containing artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted content comply with applicable copyright law, intellectual property requirements, originality standards, and research integrity principles.
The use of AI-assisted technologies does not automatically establish copyright ownership or authorize the reproduction of third-party protected materials. Authors must ensure that AI-assisted content does not unlawfully reproduce copyrighted works or violate the rights of other parties.
Authors are responsible for verifying the accuracy and originality of their manuscripts, reviewing the provenance of generated or adapted materials, and obtaining necessary permissions where applicable.
Any requirements concerning the disclosure of AI-assisted technologies, authorship, research integrity, and publication ethics should be followed in accordance with the journal's applicable policies and editorial instructions.
9. Copyright Notice and License Consistency
JOMBI's copyright and licensing information should be presented consistently across the journal website, article landing pages, published PDF files, and relevant publication metadata.
The copyright notice identifies the applicable copyright holder, while the licensing statement specifies the Creative Commons license governing the article's permitted use.
Authors, editors, and readers should preserve the relevant copyright notice, licensing information, and appropriate attribution when sharing or redistributing published articles.
Where the copyright holder, license, or publication agreement differs for an individual article, the specific terms applicable to that article should be consulted.
