EVALUATING THE PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL SYSTEM OF PRINCIPALS IN STATE ISLAMIC SENIOR HIGH SCHOOLS IN BANDAR LAMPUNG
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the madrasah principal performance appraisal system using the General Systems Theory (GST) approach, which views educational organizations as systems consisting of inputs, processes, outputs, and feedback. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method, with data collection techniques including interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out through data reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the madrasah principal performance appraisal system includes assessment standards, evaluation processes, and reporting results. Challenges are still found related to evidence management, synchronization of administrative data, and optimization of follow-up on assessment results. This study concludes that strengthening the integration of system components can improve the effectiveness of madrasah principal performance appraisal and the quality of madrasah education.
