Consilium : Berkala Kajian Konseling dan Ilmu Keagamaan is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published by the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication, State Islamic University of North Sumatra Medan. The journal is published in collaboration with Indonesia Expert Islamic Guidance and Counseling Association (PABKI) and Asosiasi Bimbingan dan Konseling Indonesia (ABKIN) .

Consilium provides an academic platform for researchers, lecturers, counselors, practitioners, and students to disseminate original research, theoretical studies, and scholarly perspectives related to the development of guidance and counseling, educational counseling, community counseling, Islamic guidance and counseling, and religious studies.

Aims and Scope

The journal is committed to advancing knowledge, research, and professional practice in counseling and related interdisciplinary studies. Consilium welcomes high-quality original research articles, conceptual papers, and scholarly studies addressing issues in educational and community settings, including but not limited to:

• Guidance and Counseling;
• Educational and School Counseling;
• Community Counseling;
• Islamic Guidance and Counseling;
• Multicultural and Cross-Cultural Counseling;
• Career, Family, and Personal-Social Counseling;
• Mental Health and Psychosocial Studies related to Counseling;
• Religion, Spirituality, and Counseling;
• Counseling Assessment, Intervention, and Technology; and
• Other interdisciplinary studies relevant to counseling and religious studies.

Peer Review and Publication Ethics. All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening followed by a peer-review process to evaluate their originality, academic relevance, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, and contribution to the development of knowledge. Submitted manuscripts must be original, have not been previously published, and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Authors are invited to submit original manuscripts that correspond to the journal's aims and scope. Before submission, authors are strongly encouraged to carefully read the Author Guidelines and prepare their manuscripts using the official journal template.

Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal's focus, scope, formatting requirements, or author guidelines may be returned to the authors or declined during the initial editorial screening.
