Inventarisasi Keanekaragaman Serangga Area Kampus II Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis tingkat keanekaragaman serangga di Kampus II UIN Sumatera Utara berdasarkan indeks Shannon-Wiener (H'), indeks kemerataan (E), dan indeks dominansi (D), serta mengkaji keterkaitannya dengan peran ekologis serangga. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada 5–12 Desember 2025 di tiga zona pengamatan (depan, tengah, dan belakang kampus) menggunakan metode transek jalur yang dimodifikasi dengan teknik sweep net dan hand collecting. Identifikasi spesies dilakukan menggunakan Google Lens dan diverifikasi dengan kunci determinasi serangga. Hasil penelitian menemukan delapan ordo serangga Orthoptera, Odonata, Lepidoptera, Coleoptera, Hymenoptera, Diptera, Mantodea, dan Hemiptera dengan jumlah individu sebanyak 29 (Zona 1), 26 (Zona 2), dan 23 (Zona 3). Nilai H' pada ketiga zona berturut-turut 2,50; 1,49; dan 2,32 (kategori sedang), indeks kemerataan tergolong tinggi (0,95; 0,83; 0,93), dan indeks dominansi rendah (0,05; 0,17; 0,07), menunjukkan tidak ada spesies yang mendominasi. Temuan ini mencerminkan komunitas serangga kampus yang relatif stabil dan seimbang. Variasi keanekaragaman dipengaruhi oleh ketersediaan ruang terbuka hijau dan tingkat aktivitas manusia, sementara kelompok serangga yang ditemukan berperan penting sebagai penyerbuk, predator, herbivor, dekomposer, dan vektor penyakit. Data ini dapat menjadi dasar pemantauan kualitas ekosistem dan mendukung pengelolaan lingkungan kampus secara berkelanjutan.
