PERANGKAP HAMA OTOMATIS BIBIT SAWIT METODE MENGGUNAKAN MIKROKONTROLER DENGAN SOURCE POWER PANEL SURYA

Abstract


Oil palm plantations are one of the largest natural resources in North Sumatra. Not a few people make it as an investment vehicle, for example at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III which is engaged in the management of oil palm and rubber latex plantations. However, to make the investment a success, superior seeds are chosen before planting. Superior seeds must take extra care, but there is one thing that is very detrimental in oil palm nurseries, namely pests that often attack the seedlings in the late afternoon and evening. Therefore, in the treatment of seedlings, spraying poison with a certain dose. If it is wrong in the dose of poison, the seeds will be further damaged by the poison. In this case, the idea was raised to create an automatic pest trap as an automatic trap instead of poison so as to minimize the problems that occur. In this study using Arduino uno, LDR sensors, relays, lights, solar panels, solar chargers, and 12v battery. Which is Arduino Uno as a microcontroller, LDR sensor as an ambient light reader, and relay as an automatic switch on the lamp. The source of electricity comes from solar panels and a solar charger to charge the battery. With this tool, it is hoped that it can help the work of plantation employees in caring for oil palm seedlings.
