The JIR: Journal Islamitisch en Recht is a double-blind peer-reviewed international journal that is published by State Islamic University of North Sumatra Medan, Indonesia.

The journal endeavors to provide forums for academicians and reseachers who are interested in the discussion of current and future issues on Law studies, especially of criminal law studies. The journal is dedicated to the scholarly study of all aspects of Law in Indonesia, South Asian and at world. The journal is committed to the publication of original research on law. JIR: Journal Islamitisch en Recht is Published Triannually a year (April, August and December).
