MUHAMMADIYAH DAN INOVASI PENDIDIKAN ISLAM

Abstract

This research is intended to explore the implementation of education at Islamic
Institution of Muhammadiyah Schools. This research focus on what innovation that
this Islamic organization applied in their schools. This research used library and
field method. The data were collected by using documentation study and deep
interview with educational staffs. The results of this research revealed that this
Islamic Organisation runs basic education until university. In every level of
education there is one subject called “Al Islam Kemuhammadiyahan” as typical
subject of this organasation. The Schools still maintained their identity as Islamic
Organization but they also used modern education to fulfill the advance of
educational, especially in higher education.
