Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

To submit an article as an author, you must first be a registered user and log into your account. When submitting, you need to upload at least three documents as outlined in points No.1, No.2, and No.3:

  1. A text file of the article with the author's name removed and all references to the author cleared.
    • Open "File" > "Info" > Click "Check for Issues" > Click "Inspect Document" > In the "Document Inspector" dialog box, check the boxes for the types of hidden content you want to inspect -> Click "Remove All" -> Click "Close" and save the document.
  2. A cover page for your article that includes the title, author's name, abstract, and keywords.
  3. An additional file containing the names of suggested reviewers along with their email addresses and affiliations.
  4. Any other supplementary files you wish to include.
  5. Manuscripts written for the Community Service Journal should include research results in community service and empowerment activities, reflecting the application of various fields of knowledge within its scope. Manuscripts must be written in Indonesian with titles in both Indonesian and English.
  6. The Community Service Journal does not accept manuscripts via email. Manuscripts must be submitted through the web system. If you have not registered before, please register first.
  7. The submitted manuscript should be in *.doc or *.docx format.
  8. The manuscript should not exceed 20 pages in length.
  9. The manuscript must follow the guidelines provided by the Community Service Journal. Please download the Community Service Journal Template at this link.
  10. The manuscript should preferably be structured as follows: Introduction – Methodology – Results and Discussion – Conclusion. Well-known theorems do not need to be explained; simply cite them when necessary.
  11. The citations and references should include more than 10 articles, preferably from the last five years, and should primarily come from reputable journals. At least 80% of the references must be from journals.
  12. When submitting the manuscript, you are also required to submit a publication ethics statement. Detailed publication ethics can be read at this link. The publication ethics statement should be read, adhered to, and signed before submission.
  13. Every manuscript submitted to the Community Service Journal will be reviewed by reviewers through a Double Blind Peer Review system. All review processes are conducted online via the web system, and the progress of the manuscript can be monitored by the author through the web system.
  14. The time from when a manuscript is submitted to when it is accepted by the editorial team will vary depending on the review process of each manuscript. The editorial team cannot guarantee the exact publication time when a new manuscript is submitted.
  15. Any matters concerning copyright permissions or the use of software for manuscript creation or other issues related to intellectual property rights (IPR) by the author, including any legal consequences that may arise, are the full responsibility of the author.

The paper or article to be submitted must meet the following criteria:

  1. The manuscript has not been published or submitted to any other media.
  2. The manuscript published in this journal includes writings on: policy, research, thought, concept/theory reviews, book reviews, and other information related to the results of research in community service and empowerment activities.
  3. The manuscript must be submitted online through the journal's website. The author must log in to submit the manuscript. For submission guidelines, see the online submission menu. Online registration is free of charge.
  4. The manuscript should be between 8 and 20 pages in length, in A4 size (210 x 297 mm) with the format according to the provided template, including images, tables, and excluding appendices. The manuscript should be written using Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) with a margin of 3 cm on the left, right, top, and bottom.
  5. The title should be no more than 14 words, with the following requirements: font type Cambria, font size 18 for Indonesian, and font size 12 for English, single-spaced, bold. If the title is too long, the editor has the right to edit the title without changing its meaning, without the author’s approval when the manuscript is ready for publication.
  6. The article title should be written in Indonesian according to the Enhanced Spelling Guidelines (EYD). If there are any English words, they should be italicized.
  7. The article begins with an Abstract and Intisari. The Abstract and Intisari should not contain any images or tables, be justified, in Cambria font (11pt), bold, and single-spaced. The Abstract should be written in English, and the Intisari should be written in Indonesian.
  8. Keywords should contain four to five words, separated by commas, justified, in Cambria 11, bold, and single-spaced. The keywords should be carefully chosen to reflect the concepts in the article and help increase the article's accessibility.
  9. Citations and references should follow the IEEE standard.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
