Abstract


This research was conducted byAhmad Munawwir Nasution with the title“The Influence of Using the Kahoot Application in Arabic Language Learning to Increase the Learning Motivation of Second Semester Students in the Arabic Language Education Study Program at STAIN Mandailing Natal”. The researcher chose this title because students tend to lack motivation in Arabic language learning due to the use of monotonous or conventional teaching methods, such as lectures and assignments. In this case, lecturers are often bound to materials from textbooks or similar sources. As a result, many students become less motivated in learning Arabic. This study aims to analyze the influence of using the Kahoot application in Arabic language learning and its effect on increasing students’ motivation in learning Arabic. This is a quantitative study using an experimental method with a pre-experimental research type and a one-group pretest-posttest design. This design involves only one class as the experimental group to determine the effect of using the Kahoot application on the learning motivation of second-semester students in the Arabic Language Education Study Program at STAIN Mandailing Natal. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling (census), with a total sample of 11 students, using a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques include tests and questionnaires. The results of the study are as follows: (1) The students' test results in Arabic language learning, measured through pre-test and post-test, showed that t count < t table (2.14 < 1.812), thus H0 is rejected  and Hₐ is accepted. (2) The influence of using the Kahoot application in increasing students' motivation is categorized as "motivated," or the tendency of students to use Kahoot is considered successful, with a score of 86,5.
