MEDIA DIGITAL, DISINFORMASI, DAN LITERASI POLITIK

Abstract


The development of digital media has brought significant changes to political communication patterns in society. Today, political information can be easily accessed, produced, and disseminated rapidly through various digital platforms. However, this convenience also creates opportunities for the emergence of disinformation that can influence public perception, shape misleading opinions, and intensify socio-political polarization. In this context, political literacy becomes an essential skill so that people are able to critically assess, filter, and understand political information. This paper aims to analyze the relationship between digital media, the spread of disinformation, and the importance of political literacy in democratic life. The method used is a literature review by examining various relevant sources. The findings show that political literacy plays an important role in building citizens’ ability to evaluate information, recognize disinformation, and participate rationally in political processes
