Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze economic growth through one of the people's economic efforts, namely cooperatives, especially women's cooperatives. Cooperatives with the strength and spirit of togetherness can improve the economic welfare of members, further increasing economic growth. Data was collected through questionnaires to 40 members, 5 administrators and in-depth interviews with 3 core administrators of the Nurul Amal women's cooperative. This cooperative consists entirely of women. Most of the members of this cooperative participate actively both in terms of attending RATs, providing suggestions/suggestions and sharing knowledge/skills. Cooperative managers carry out their duties very well so as to make this cooperative continue to grow. They are committed to carrying out RAT at the beginning of each year and distributing SHU every year. The motive of the management of this cooperative is not to expect material returns, but rather to care and provide benefits to the community from an economic standpoint. The business unit of this cooperative is regional supervisor, especially groceries and savings and loans. Members who shop at Waserda Cooperative do not have to pay in cash, but can also do it in installments. This is felt to be very helpful for members who are struggling economically to meet the basic needs of their families. Dominant cooperative members (> 90%) feel that the existence of cooperatives can improve family welfare both in terms of fulfilling business capital needs, education costs and family members' health Keywords : economic growth, women's cooperatives
