Author Guidlines

Notes for prospective authors:

Manuscript should be written in standard academic English.

Manuscript should consist:

  1. Title: concise, reflects the essence of the manuscript’s content, including method and novelty;
  2. Name of author (up to five). AL-USRAH : JURNAL AL-AHWAL AS-SYAKHSIYAH allows no change of names and order of authors;
  3. Affiliation: name of institutions, address, and official e-mail;
  4. Keywords: three to five words reflecting findings and conclusions;
  5. Introduction: containing a general background, a review of relevant state of the art scientific studies, research problems, and purpose of the study;
  6. Method: containing research procedures, especially data collection and analyses;
  7. Results and Discussion: coherent presentation and analysis of main results and supporting results as well as implications of the results;
  8. Conclusion: answers the hypothesis and research questions. It should include the implication and novelty of the research. It should not repeat what had mentioned in result and discussions;
  9. Acknowledgement: is optional that should be attached from first submission not exceeding 100 words;
  10. References: Mendeley Reference Management Software on The Chicago Manual of Style 17th edition (full note). Reference must be more than 25 works of recent publication (last 5 years) representing state-of-the-art studies on the topic. Articles from reputed academic periodicals are most appreciated.
  1. Manuscript could be based on either theoretical or empirical research findings in the field of Islamic Studies.  AL-USRAH particularly welcomes critical studies of one or any combination of historical dynamics, contemporary developments, and future trends of Islamic theology, spirituality, culture, arts, and literature.
  2. Manuscript must be original script and free from plagiarism and that it should be previously checked by Turnitin and the like. AL-USRAH welcomes only manuscripts with up to 20% similarity. Statement of Originalty sould be provided from the submission in suplementarry file.
  3. Manuscript should be approximately 6500 words long; however, both shorter and longer manuscripts will be considered.
  4. Manuscript should be in Microsoft Word (.docx/.rtf), single-spaced, following the in-house style of MIQOT prior to submission via OJS. Make sure to use the available Journal Template.
  5. Multi-authored manuscripts resulting from collaborative studies (especially international ones) are most appreciated. Nevertheless, single authored manuscripts are welcomed.
  6. All manuscripts will be peer-reviewed by qualified academics in the field.
  7. All revised manuscrip should follow the Table of Correction.
