Author Guidelines

KITABAH: Jurnal Akuntansi dan Keuangan Syariah (Journal of Accounting and Islamic Financing), provides a forum for publishing the original research articles, review articles from contributors, and the novel technology news related to Accounting, Financing, and Islamic Financing..

Research articles dealing with Accounting, Financing, and Islamic Financing., etc. are particularly welcome. The journal encompasses research articles, original research report, reviews, short communications and scientific commentaries in Accounting, Financing, and Islamic Financing. Before submitting an article to KITABAH, please ensure you have read and understood the Focus & Scope of the journal and that you have attended to the formatting of your manuscript as detailed below. Submissions that do not comply will not be considered.

Please note that this journal only publishes manuscripts in English. While we prefer the use of U.S. spelling, we also accept other versions of English as long as they are used consistently throughout the paper. If you have questions on English grammar or punctuation, search the web for guidance. You can find excellent guides at http://www.grammarbook.com

Authors are responsible for the language quality in their article, and is strongly recommended to have your manuscript checked by a native speaker or an English language specialist before submission, in order to ensure that the language is acceptable. The submitted manuscript in this journal is screened for plagiarism. All paper should be prepared according to the following author guidelines in the article template. The length of submitted paper is at least 5 pages and no more than 15 pages.

When the Editorial Board decides that the paper meets those standards, the paper will be assigned to referees and the author will be notified that the paper has entered the review process.

 

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and AI-Assisted Technologies Policy

The Editorial Board of KITABAH permits the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and AI-assisted technologies solely to improve the readability, grammar, and language style of the manuscript, with the strict condition that AI tools cannot be listed or credited as an author or co-author, as they cannot hold accountability, legal responsibility, or ethical obligations for the work. Authors retain full responsibility for the entire content and integrity of their manuscript and are required to transparently declare the use of any AI tools within the Methods section or Acknowledgments, specifying the tool name, version, and purpose of application. The use of AI to generate, manipulate, or fabricate primary data, analytical results, scientific imagery, or to autonomously derive research conclusions is strictly prohibited and constitutes a severe breach of publication ethics.

Guideline for Online Submission

Author should first register as Author and/or is offered as Reviewer through the following address: http://jurnal.uinsu.ac.id/index.php/kitabah/user/register

Author should fulfil the form as detail as possible where the star marked form must be entered. After all form textbox was filled, Author clicks on “Register” button to proceed the registration. Therefore, Author is brought to online author submission interface where Author should click on “New Submission”. In the Start a New Submission section, click on “’Click Here’: to go to step one of the five-step submission process”. The following are five steps in online submission process:

  1. Step 1 - Starting the Submission: Select the appropriate section of journal, i.e. Original Research Articles, Review Article, or Short Communication. Thus, author must check-mark on the submission checklists.
  2. Step 2 – Uploading the Submission: To upload a manuscript to this journal, click Browse on the Upload submission file item and choose the manuscript document file to be submitted, then click Upload button.
  3. Step 3 – Entering Submission’s Metadata: In this step, detail authors metadata should be entered including marked corresponding author. After that, manuscript title and abstract must be uploaded by copying the text and paste in the textbox including keywords.
  4. Step 4 – Uploading Supplementary Files: Supplementary file should be uploaded including Covering/Submission Letter, and Signed Copyright Transfer Agreement Form. Therefore, click on Browse button, choose the files, and then click on Upload button.
  5. Step 5 – Confirming the Submission: Author should final check the uploaded manuscript documents in this step. To submit the manuscript to Human Falah journal, click Finish Submission button after the documents is true. The corresponding author or the principal contact will receive an acknowledgement by email and will be able to view the submission’s progress through the editorial process by logging in to the journal web address site.

After this submission, Authors who submit the manuscript will get a confirmation email about the submission. Therefore, Authors are able to track their submission status at anytime by logging in to the online submission interface. The submission tracking includes status of manuscript review and editorial process.

Publication Fee

KITABAH: Jurnal Akuntansi dan Keuangan Syariah does not charge APCs, submission charges, or another fee. All processes of article publication are free of charge.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

In developing strategy and setting priorities, KITABAH: Jurnal Akuntansi dan Keuangan Syariah recognize that free access is better than priced access, libre access is better than free access, and libre under CC-BY-SA or the equivalent is better than libre under more restrictive open licenses. We should achieve what we can when we can. We should not delay achieving free in order to achieve libre, and we should not stop with free when we can achieve libre.
