Althiqah Journal is published by the Hadith Science Masters and Doctoral Program, Ushuluddin Faculty, UIN North Sumatra Medan, in collaboration with ASILHA (Indonesian Hadith Science Association). This journal is an academic journal that is published twice a year. Althiqah Journal was formed in 2020 and in 2021 its p-ISSN was published. In 2024, the Althiqah Journal will officially become a journal for the Hadith Science Master's Study Program and the Hadith Science Doctoral Program. The Althiqah Journal aims to publish the latest original research on hadith and hadith science, both in the form of field research and text-based studies with various perspectives in the field of hadith and hadith science.

The main focus of the Althiqah Journal is to provide a forum for scholars, researchers and students to contribute through the results of their studies and research which includes the study of hadith sanad, hadith matan, hadith sharah, living hadith, and study of hadith traditions, Legal Aspects of Hadith, Philosophy and Sufism in Hadith, Interdisciplinary History of Hadith.
