Transdisciplinary Position in the Goals of Islamic Education

Abstract


This study discusses the position of the transdisciplinary paradigm towards the goals of Islamic education. In collecting data for this research, the author collected related information using a library research type method (Library Research). The method used is the discourse and content analysis method. The way a number of literatures are discussed and analyzed based on the direction and objectives of the transdisciplinary concept is then linked to the objectives of Islamic education. The results found are that the aim of Islamic education is to form perfect humans (Insan Kamil), through knowledge for happiness in the world and the hereafter by getting closer to Allah. Then, to achieve this goal, a transdisciplinary paradigm has a position and perspective that all scientific disciplines are able to bring a servant closer to Allah.
