Jurnal Komunika Islamika: Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi dan Kajian Islam is open access and peer review of journals published by Program of Islamic Communication and Broadcasing (Jurusan Komunikasi dan Penyiaran Islam, Fakultas Dakwah and Komunikasi), North Sumatera Islamic State University (Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara).

This journal covers actual issues in islamic communication studies, The development of contemporary da'wah by utilizing media, Islamic information systems, Islamic da'wah studies include field research and conceptual study research.

The purpose of this journal is to promote sharing of knowledge and understanding of communication issues. Then receive contributions from experts, researchers, practitioners and policy makers throughout the world.

Any submitted paper will be reviewed by reviewers. Review process employs double-blind review that the reviewer does not know the identity of the author, and the author does not know the identity of the reviewers.

This journal is published periodically twice a year, precisely in June and December.
