PRAKTIK WAHDATUL ULUM PADA KELUARGA NABI MUHAMMAD SAW

Abstract

This article examines the application of the practice of wahdatul ulum (the unity of knowledge) in the family life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and Sayyidah Khadijah. Wahdatul ulum, or the unity of knowledge, is a concept that teaches the integration of religious knowledge, worldly knowledge, and social life in building family welfare. Through a historical approach, this study analyzes how the Prophet Muhammad practiced wahdatul ulum in their household life. The study also identifies the spiritual, moral, and social values embedded in their interactions, and how these can serve as a model for forming harmonious and prosperous families in the modern era. The results show that the application of wahdatul ulum in the Prophet Muhammad's family not only created a balance between the worldly life and the hereafter but also fostered a mutually supportive relationship between spouses and provided an example of wise leadership within the family. These findings are expected to offer new insights into the application of the concept of wahdatul ulum in contemporary Muslim families. The aim of this study is to determine how the practice of wahdatul ulum was applied in the family of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
